課程概述 |
This course will focus on writing within an academic context. Students will use different rhetorical modes and culminate in two essays (approximately 1000 words; four double-spaced pages) on various subjects.
The classes will take the form of a workshop where students are required to participate in the entire writing process, from brainstorming to (re)production of drafts, individually or in groups. As a consequence, attendance is essential. |
課程目標 |
a) Demonstrate ability to write in various modes: descriptive, narrative, example, classification, process analysis, comparison and contrast, definition, cause and effect, and argument.
b) Demonstrate the phases of writing: drafting, crafting, revising, and editing.
c) Explore sources of writing: reading, thinking, analyzing, and discussion. |
